Race Week!

Brady with "old Tony Stewart" - Joey Lagano
Ashlyn in her Kyle Bush outfit...had to throw a bow on there just to make sure people knew she was a girl! :)

Aflac - Carl Edwards

My boys listening to the qualifying while we hung out by the car.
Yummy corn dog! I ate the whole thing!

A little pick up game before we walked around.

Mommy and Ashlyn with Ashlyn's new guy!

Let's walk!
We had a great time this past week going out to the Joliet Speedway. On Thursday we went and just hung out and walked around the outside of the speedway. They had a concert, food, games, and of course the merchandise to buy. We all have our own drivers so we needed to pick a driver for Ashlyn. Well after last weekend, we had to choose Kyle Bush for her. Brady is a combo at this time...the old Tony Stuart and Carl Edwards, I'm Dale Jr, and Dusty is Matt Kenseth. Makes it a little more exciting when you have drives that you follow.

4th of July

We went and enjoyed the Evergreen Park parade for the 4th of July. Brady enjoyed watching the floats and especially the fireworks. Ashlyn was a good girl and met many of her aunts and cousins.

Ashlyn's Doctor Visit

We had Ashlyn's first doctors visit on Thursday and she was given a clean bill of health. She was 8 lb 9 oz which was over her birth weight and doctor was very happy with that. Brady was a help for the doctor in making sure Ashlyn was ok. Brady also had his 2 year doctor visit in which he is still in the 90% in height and weight. He was 36.5 inches long and 32 lbs. He is very proportionate so they they are happy with his growth. Very grateful for 2 healthy kids!

The transition...

has gone fairly smooth the first 24 hours! Brady has been chipping in and helping with many things to do with Ashlyn. He likes to get blankets, throw away diapers, and even feed her. He also wants to show her how to play with his/her toys.

Coming Home...

Wow has 48 hours changed our lives!
All this excitement, I am ready to get home and relax.

A VERY proud big brother!

Singing to Ashlyn just like they did the last few months she was in the belly.
Big brother wanting to do this on his own.

Brady was wanting to help and he wouldn't even let me keep my hand there to support Ashlyn so we put an extra pillow and let him help. He was so excited to feed her and wanted to try some of the formula himself. We told him it was for babies and then tried to put it back in Ashlyn's mouth again. He is doing so well. We go home tomorrow, Monday. so we will see how this transitions to home life when we aren't at a strange place and he realizes that baby is here to stay.

Enjoying the time spent at mommy's hospital room.

Happy Father's Day! With 5 days left to go before baby #2 arrives, we thought it would be a great idea to head to the Brookfield Zoo when it was one of the hottest days of the year so far....ha... (can you tell who types the blog). It was a great day and overall it ended up being very fun. Daddy enjoyed his time with the family and we saw many animals. Brady was pretty excited to see the elephants, mommy liked the giraffes, and daddy enjoyed the river otters.
