Of course we knew it was going to be cold so we were pretty prepared and packed the clothes on(only thing chilly by the end of the game was my toes). We had up to 5 layers on certain body parts. Thank you Michelle for the tickets! It was a great time. OT WIN!!!

2nd in State!

Touchdown Matt Morse!!! Matt knocking down a pass!!!
What an amazing Thanksgiving we had. We were able to go to Champaign for Matt's State Championship game. Aurora played Bloomington Catholic which was a pretty good team and ended up beating the Eagles 37-28 but what an amazing game. Matt had 2 touchdowns which put him as 13th on the all time list for the state of Illinois to catch over 20 TD's in a season. Pretty cool! Tons of family came in for the game and it was so fun to watch Matt play! Here ares a few articles from the game...

CHAMPAIGN -- Aurora Christian and Bloomington Central Catholic uncorked a classic on Friday, combining to set or tie 13 individual and team Class 4A championship game records.
Which is no small feat, considering the Class 4A title game has been played since 1974.
Here's a rundown of the records set (with old record in parentheses):
• Total offense, both teams -- 892 yards (889)
• Most passes attempted, both teams -- 77 (69)
• Most passes completed, Aurora Christian -- 27 (25)
• Most passes completed, both teams -- 43 (34; new mark also ties overall IHSA title game record)
• Most yards passing, Aurora Christian -- 365 (321)
• Most yards passing, both teams -- 684 (541)
• Most pass attempts -- Aurora Christian's Jordan Roberts, 55 (49)
• Most pass completions -- Roberts, 27 (25)
• Most pass yards in a game -- Roberts, 365 (305)
• Most receptions in a game -- Aurora Christian's David Zielke, 10 (8)
• Most touchdowns passing, Aurora Christian -- 4, tied with Sacred Heart Griffin
• Most passing touchdowns in a game -- Roberts, 4 with three others
• Most receiving touchdowns in a game -- Aurora Christian's Zielke and Matt Morse, 2, tied with six others

Sweet tooth Victory would have been sweeter, but this wasn't all bad.
Aurora Christian football players, prohibited from drinking pop and eating chocolate by coach Don Beebe during the season, were greeted by a sweet treat when they returned to the Urbana Holiday Inn following Friday's 37-28 loss to Bloomington Central Catholic in the Class 4A title game.
The postgame pizza party also featured large brownies covered with whipped cream and chocolate syrup...

They were denied, but not in denial.
Aurora Christian came up short in its bid to bring home the first state football title to the city of Aurora, but the Eagles teamed up with Bloomington Central Catholic to put on an entertaining display of offensive fireworks Friday before falling 37-28.

"We played our hearts out, but they came out and showed they were the beter team. Hats off to them," Eagles running back Lewis Gaddis said.

Both quarterbacks — Bloomington Central's Adam Rebholz and Aurora Christian's Jordan Roberts – threw for more than 300 yards in the Class 4A title bout at Memorial Stadium as the teams combined for a 4A title game record 892 yards of offense.

"You had two phenomenal quarterbacks going at it," Eagles coach Don Beebe said. "Certainly, they were the two best teams in 4A. We just didn't stop them as many times as they stopped us."

Rebholz, who also started at safety and laid some heavy licks on Aurora Christian receivers, completed 16 of 21 passes for 319 yards and led his team in rushing with 15 carries for 80 yards.
"He's the first guy to juke me out of my shoes," Gaddis said. "I couldn't even touch him. He could run the ball, throw the ball and keep his eyes downfield when he was running. He did some damage.

"And on defense, I've never seen a quarterback hit guys like that."

Aurora Christian's Jordan Roberts completed 27 of 55 passes for 365 yards and four scores.
Rebholz scored on a 1-yard run with 1:24 remaining to seal the verdict after the Eagles pulled within 30-28 on a 7-yard scoring pass from Roberts to Matt Morse with 4:50 left.
The Eagles drove into Saints territory and attempted a 39-yard field goal with 29 seconds left that might have left the door open for a last-ditch onside kick, but Jake Van Gilse's boot came up short and wide.

Roberts had touchdown throws of 7 and 72 yards to David Zielke and another of 24 yards to Morse.

"It shows you the kind of quarterback he is," Beebe said. "On the biggest of stages, he stepped up."

Rebholz had scoring tosses of 69 yards to Dylan Johnson and 6 yards to Drew Talkington.
"It was basically an offensive showdown," Roberts said. "They were a great team and very physical. I would say that's the best team we've played. And that quarterback was awesome. It's an awesome threat when you have a QB who can run and throw.

"They just came out and executed their plays and we had a couple mix-ups on defense and they were able to score."

Bloomington won a 3A title in 1994 and took second in 4A last year to Driscoll, when those teams combined for 889 yards of offense.

The Saints won this one because they had a better ground game — it netted 168 yards to just 40 for the Eagles — and tackled better on defense.

Fullback David Murray, who ran 11 times for 65 yards, had a 1-yard scoring run in the second quarter that gave the Saints the lead for good at 18-14. They had missed the extra point on their first score and were stopped on a 2-point conversion on the second, but Murray ran this one in to give his team a 20-14 lead at the break.

"We couldn't stop their running (in the first half). We didn't tackle very well," Beebe said. "I would say not getting them off the field didn't help our matters, because offensively I thought we moved the ball pretty consistently."

Gaddis, who ran 14 times for 52 yards, came up with the lone turnover of the game when he made his first interception of the season, picking off Rebholz deep in Aurora Christian territory in the first quarter

Here we go again....

Well...Brady is going to be a big brother. Yes, this comes at a pretty huge surprise to us but a blessing all the same. I am almost through this wonderful first trimester...the past few weeks have been a little rough when it comes to morning(night) sickness but I am taking it in stride. We are due June 27 but due to the fact I am planning on having a c-section, we will be able to plan when the birth actually is according to our doctors availability. So wish us luck along with the other two cousins on the Boss side who are currently pregnant. That Boss family definitely has some good genes! 9 babies under 3! Wow....

Aurora Christian vs. Driscoll

Quarterfinal: Aurora Christian 24, Driscoll 17
Aurora Christian took a giant step toward becoming one of the elite programs in the state Saturday at God's Field, the school's new football facility.
The Eagles became the only Aurora school to advance to the state semifinals twice, and they did so Saturday by impressively defeating seven-time defending state champion Driscoll 24-17.
RELATED STORIES

"I've been very fortunate as a player to be in a lot of big games," said Aurora Christian coach Don Beebe, who did play in several Super Bowls. "But I have to tell you that this is the most exhilarating win that I have felt."

The Eagles have record-setting quarterback Jordan Roberts at the helm of their offense, but their defense came up with a huge effort this time. They almost completely shut down the Highlanders' attack in the first half, and they didn't allow a first down until just before halftime.
Peter Kariotis, Andru Ubert, Braxton Warner and David Anderson took turns in the Eagles' three-man defensive front, which slowed the Driscoll offense to the tune of only 59 first-half yards.

"We had a great week of defensive practice and everyone was flying to the ball," said linebacker Ryan Perik, who had several big hits. "I was amazed at our secondary stepping up and making plays. It was unbelievable, and I'm really proud of how everyone played in this game."
The Aurora Christian offense was steady in the first half as Roberts was 11-for-19 for 113 yards, and Lewis Gaddis had eight carries for 73 yards. The Eagles posted 14 first downs to only two for Driscoll.

Aurora Christian struck pay dirt three times in the second quarter by completely controlling the tempo with drives of 12, nine and 14 plays.

Jake Van Gilse nailed a 34-yard field goal, and Roberts found David Zielke for scoring strikes of 5 and 12 yards. The Eagles led 17-3 at halftime.

"On the first one, I had a hitch and I knew I had to get at least 3 yards deep in the end zone so there would be room between the defender and me," Zielke said. "On the slant (second touchdown), I widened out so there would be room between Matt Morse and me so we could spread the defense out."

Aurora Christian picked it up again in the third quarter with a 12-play drive keyed by Gaddis, who finished with 167 yards on 27 carries. The drive ate up half the period, and Gaddis took it in from the 1, putting the Eagles were in command, 24-3.

"We found something that worked and just kept sticking with it," Gaddis said. "I play for the Lord and I feel like every time I get that ball in my hands I just go as hard as I can."
Driscoll finally got untracked and notched an 11-play, 75-yard drive culminated by an 8-yard scoring pass from Steve Schwade to Austin Baker to close the gap to 24-10 near the end of the third quarter. The Eagles marched right back, but Roberts fumbled at the Driscoll 13 as the fourth quarter began.

State champions don't quit, and the Highlanders drove 82 yards to score with 2:30 left on a 4-yard pass from Schwade to Baker to narrow the Eagles lead to 24-17.
Unfortunately for Aurora Christian, Roberts put the ball on the ground again and Driscoll recovered near midfield. But on the next play, Zielke made a leaping interception, and the huge crowd exhaled in relief.

"I knew the play was flowing to the right and the other two safeties were probably flowing with it," Zielke said. "I knew I had to cut in front of Baker to make that catch."
After one last stand by the Eagles defense, they knew they were headed to the state semifinals against Richmond-Burton next weekend.

"These boys have honored Christ through their play and they have honored Christ in everything they've done," Beebe said. "For me, that's everything. Life is more than football -- it's about honoring Christ. These boys have done that, and that's why I'm so proud of them." Class 4A

Our Cowboy

What a treasure!

Peek a boo...Mommy! I got you a pumpkin!

Just a moment in time.

Checking out the barn & then walking through the corn maze.

2 of my favorite pics of the whole day.
This just shows Brady at his best.

Pictures of Brady we took with his Halloween costume at Dollinger Farm located in Channahon. It was pretty fun and he did a pretty good job with them!

Happy Halloween

Cowboy Brady holding onto mommies favorite candy...Skittles!

Kyle, Brady, & Alex

Brady & Alex chomping on the OUTSIDE of the candy/popcorn they received!
Brady was able to go trick or treating with his buddy Kyle this year. Brady was a little scared of the big bad Scooby Doo that Kyle was but he did get better when Kyle took the costume off! Other neighbors that stopped by were Alex(John & Julie), Zack, & Matt(Steve & Beth). There was about 150 kids that came through and it was a fun night overall.

Walter Payton's Roundhouse Dinner

Matt Morse, Jordan Roberts, &
Brandon Pence, Luke Hallman, & Nick Futrell
Matt was nominated for a WP player of the week award so we were invited to join him for dinner and the ceremony. Sandwich players(which Dusty coaches) were also nominated for some awards and we were able to be there to support them also. It was a very nice night and a great way to honor high school football players and their achievements for the year.

The Behringer Farm

Brady, Pops, & Elyot

Sunday we went to enjoy a day at the Behringer farm. Mrs. B & Auntie Rm had birthday's that needed to be celebrated & it was a beautiful day to be out. Brady went for a tractor ride that I'm not so sure he was ready for since he had just woken up from his nap, but we still got the pic!

Jack Pierce

Jack #3 played soccer at Minooka High School this past weekend. We went to watch him play and he did a great job! Neuqua Valley ended up beating Minooka 2-1 in the final minutes. Jack plays defense and even had a play about 4 feet in front of their goal that ended up blocking a goal and sending it back the other way! Great job!

White Sox playoff game

Playing bags before the big game! Brady & me
Matt, Brady, & Dusty
White Sox winner!!!

My mom, brother, Dusty, Brady, & myself went to the lone win the White Sox had in the playoffs. It was a pretty good game and being part of the "black out" was very fun. Also at the game were my friends Stacey & Todd, my cousin Josh & Aimee, and Aunt Pat & Uncle Dan. We got to the game early and tailgated for a little while. That is when Brady got his pic taken by the Chicago Tribune and Dusty, Matt, and I got interviewed by channel 7. Then it started to rain so we headed into the Stadium club. Wow was that packed. No where to sit we headed to our seats. Luckily we were under an overhang and could hang out and wait for the game. The game started about 30 minutes late but that didn't damper the spirit of the crowd which was crazy! Everyone was up and cheering for most of the game. It was great for our team and the white towels were amazing to see flying around. Great little spurt at the end of the season to make the playoffs and what a great game to go to! Bring on spring training!

Nope...not ketchup!

Brady experienced his first war wound this weekend. He was running (which he now knows how to do) and diving on pillows. Well, he went a little far and hit the wood part of the couch. Mommy was actually on the phone with Daddy at the time and totally kept her calm for the whole ordeal. Afterwards I freaked out a little but I made it through. I am sure there are many more of these things to come! Enjoy the pic! Ha

This past Sunday we went to Aunt Kathy's to celebrate a handful of birthdays. We enjoyed seeing everyone again and were able to take a picture with the girl cousin's kids (Me-Brady, Laura-Josiah and Lisa-Austin) I was the first time we met Josiah. It is amazing how small they are and how quickly they grow up! Austin is a little ham and at such a fun age. What fun!
What is that crazy guy in the middle doing to make these cute guys smile!?!

ACS

Matt Morse of Aurora Christian runs in a touchdown pass in the second quarter, setting the new state record for quarterback Jordan Roberts on Friday
Brady & Uncle Matt

Aurora Christian's Jordan passes record
Eagle now tops on TD passing list

On film, Jordan Roberts might laugh at himself. First, he had to pick himself off the turf and get out from under a Chicago Christian defender. Then he ran over to Matt Morse and kind of jumped into a body bump, but a wobbly ankle didn't really let him get too high in the air.

Jordan Roberts of Aurora Christian celebrates after breaking the state record of 95 touchdown passes during Friday night's home game against Chicago Christian. The Aurora Christian senior quarterback set the IHSA record for career touchdown passes Friday night in a 42-28 victory over Chicago Christian.

The lucky target was wide receiver Morse, who caught exactly zero passes through the first four games after suffering through mononucleosis and its complications. On Friday, he caught four touchdowns from Roberts. The record-tying haul was a 12-yarder on the left side of the end zone. The record-setter was on a slant and go from 16 yards out, only this time the ball had to be floated over a defender and short of the end line. It was a perfect spiral delivered to the perfect place.

He closed his eyes and clenched a fist remembering it. "Then I heard everyone go nuts and I was like, 'Yes, he caught it. Thank you.'"

"It's history," Morse said. "Just to be able to do that with him means a lot to me."

I have a mini Dusty running around all day! What a spitting image of daddy. I should have thrown a hat on and Brady would have been a dead ringer for him. We are proud of daddy & all he is doing with his football team!

Charles Braden

Just a great picture of Brady from over the summer. He is so much fun right now. He entertained many this past weekend and was such a sport with the late nights and running around. We love him so much! I can't believe he is 14 months old!
