Big bucket just poured out...watch out!

This weekend was pretty fun. I had the day off on Friday to see Dusty's track girls compete at indoor state. Before we left for state Brady and myself did a little shopping. I got Brady a new swim suit and a pair of shorts. We then saw a cute little green dress with flowers. Brady really wanted to buy something for his little sister, how could I say no! We then got lunch and headed home for a quick nap and off to Illinois Wesleyan. The high jumper cleared opening height but didn't make it any further. His hurdler did very well. She was ranked 6th but ended up getting 3rd in state! Pretty impressive I might say! Ian and Rm met us at the meet and we just hung out for the time in between races. During all the excitement there was a long jumper who broke her FEMUR! Ewww! So that made everything slow down a little bit.
Saturday I was invited to Valpo for a softball game in which there was going to be an alumni presentation but they cancelled everything because of the weather. So we decided to stay home. We then got the opportunity to go to an indoor water park/hotel! How fun was that! Brady had so much fun and he did so well. He went down the slides and even one slide that was probably too fast for him...only cried for a sec after bumping his head(whoops). We went on the lazy river and through all the fun things that squirt at you. Daddy even enjoyed the BIG slide where he tipped over every time he came out of the tube!
Overall it was a great weekend with such great family time for us. It seems like things always go so fast and by the time we unwind at home, we are asleep on the couch. I thank everyone for all the help and support they have shown as I have transitioned my career to where it is at today. It has been a rough couple of years but I think we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel and starting to enjoy life!
