Busy doctor week

Well this week has been the week of doctors. Ashlyn went in for her 2 month checkup and 4 shots! Not fun. She did surprisingly well with the little temper that she has. I felt bad as the nurse did her shots but it is for the best, right...Anyways. She is 13.3 lbs and 23.5 inches tall. a little on the heavier side right now but they said with how long she is, she is fine. Still on the Colic formula for a couple more weeks and then we will try the switch back to the still expensive but not $60 a week formula! Phew...

Brady had to go to the Ear Specialist today. Not a fun doctors appointment according to me. I know all they are doing is looking in his ears but I felt bad at what may come from this. The doctor said that he has build up behind both ears, not due to ear infections which he has only had one of, but due to the colds that he has had over time. Great...I feel like a terrible mom now not having gotten this check out sooner! So we are on some medication for the next two weeks and then we will be headed back in for a hearing test and a recheck. This will all probably lead to tubes in both ears. 9-12 months of my baby having these. No swimming...I wish I would have taken care of this sooner so he wouldn't have to go through this...I really hope he has not had any hear loss because of this either...I will feel terrible!

One of my new presents!

We play this A LOT!!! Brady loves being outside and that has been a little more difficult over the past week or so with it being soooooo hot but I am sure we will be getting out more over the fall when Dusty doesn't get home to late and kids need to burn off their energy!

I know....WAY late but guess that happens when you have 2 kids and one had colic. Sleep a rest are great when you can! Brady had his 2nd b-day on his actual birthday and I was wearing a sweatshirt by the end of the night. Brrr. Pretty amazing for a July birthday. Brady got some pretty amazing gifts that we slowly took out one by one and have now gone through all the toys! He loves everything but really likes his golf!

Nascar Race

Camp

Stealth

Kyle Bush

Matt Kenseth

Dusty and myself were able to go to the Nascar race on Saturday night with some friends. It was a good time and nice to get out of the house for a little bit. I was a little nervous leaving Ashlyn at home, but I knew she would be fine. Anyways...we got out to the raceway around 2:00, tailgated and played some bags. About 6:00 we headed in the track for the race. We had these headphones were we could listen to the drivers or the radio and it also helped because the race was REALLY LOUD! What a great time!

Race Week!

Brady with "old Tony Stewart" - Joey Lagano
Ashlyn in her Kyle Bush outfit...had to throw a bow on there just to make sure people knew she was a girl! :)

Aflac - Carl Edwards

My boys listening to the qualifying while we hung out by the car.
Yummy corn dog! I ate the whole thing!

A little pick up game before we walked around.

Mommy and Ashlyn with Ashlyn's new guy!

Let's walk!
We had a great time this past week going out to the Joliet Speedway. On Thursday we went and just hung out and walked around the outside of the speedway. They had a concert, food, games, and of course the merchandise to buy. We all have our own drivers so we needed to pick a driver for Ashlyn. Well after last weekend, we had to choose Kyle Bush for her. Brady is a combo at this time...the old Tony Stuart and Carl Edwards, I'm Dale Jr, and Dusty is Matt Kenseth. Makes it a little more exciting when you have drives that you follow.

4th of July

We went and enjoyed the Evergreen Park parade for the 4th of July. Brady enjoyed watching the floats and especially the fireworks. Ashlyn was a good girl and met many of her aunts and cousins.

Ashlyn's Doctor Visit

We had Ashlyn's first doctors visit on Thursday and she was given a clean bill of health. She was 8 lb 9 oz which was over her birth weight and doctor was very happy with that. Brady was a help for the doctor in making sure Ashlyn was ok. Brady also had his 2 year doctor visit in which he is still in the 90% in height and weight. He was 36.5 inches long and 32 lbs. He is very proportionate so they they are happy with his growth. Very grateful for 2 healthy kids!

The transition...

has gone fairly smooth the first 24 hours! Brady has been chipping in and helping with many things to do with Ashlyn. He likes to get blankets, throw away diapers, and even feed her. He also wants to show her how to play with his/her toys.
